Ἀπὸ τὰ πρῶτα κιόλας χρόνια τῆς ἀνασυστάσεως τῆς Ἱερᾶς Μονῆς τοῦ Ἁγίου Νικολάου, ζήσαμε τὴν ἰδιαίτερη εὐλογία τῆς ζωντανῆς παρουσίας δύο Ἁγίων: Τοῦ Ἁγίου Ἱεράρχου Νικολάου, τοῦ μεγίστου προστάτου τῆς Μονῆς, ἀλλὰ καὶ τοῦ Ἁγίου Ἱερομάρτυρος Φιλουμένου, τοῦ καταγόμενου ἀπὸ τὸ παρακείμενο χωριὸ τῆς Ὀρούντας.
Μὲ τὸ πέρασμα τοῦ χρόνου, ὅλο καὶ περισσότεροι ἄνθρωποι γνώριζαν τὸν Ἅγιο Φιλούμενο, ὁ ὁποῖος διὰ τῶν θαυμαστῶν του παρεμβάσεων ἀποκαλυπτόταν στοὺς πιστοὺς καὶ γινόταν γι’ αὐτοὺς γνωστὸς καὶ φίλος. Ἡ ὁλοένα αὐξανόμενη αὐτὴ τιμὴ πρὸς τὸν νέο Ἱερομάρτυρα ἦταν τὸ ἔναυσμα γιὰ νὰ ἀρχίσουν τὸν Μάιο τοῦ 2019 οἱ ἐργασίες ἀνοικοδόμησης Ἱεροῦ Ναοῦ πρὸς τιμήν του, ὥστε οἱ προσκυνητὲς τῆς χάρης του νὰ βρίσκουν τόπο καὶ τρόπο πνευματικῆς ἐνίσχυσης καὶ παραμυθίας. Ἡ θεμελίωση τοῦ Ἱεροῦ Ναοῦ, ὁ ὁποῖος θὰ εἶναι σταυροειδὴς μὲ τροῦλλο, ἔγινε τὴν 17ην Ἰουνίου τοῦ ἰδίου ἔτους, ἑορτὴ τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος, ὑπὸ τοῦ Πανιερωτάτου Μητροπολίτου Μόρφου κ. Νεοφύτου.
Ὁ Ναὸς θὰ εἶναι λιθόκτιστος καὶ ἀνεγείρεται νοτιοδυτικὰ τῶν παλαιῶν κτισμάτων τῆς Μονῆς. Στὴ βόρεια πλευρά του οἰκοδομεῖται καὶ παρεκκλήσιον ἀφιερωμένο στὴν Παναγία τὴν Ἰαματική, τῆς ὁποίας παλαιὰ θαυματουργὴ εἰκόνα βρίσκεται τεθησαυρισμένη στὴ Μονή.
Ἂν κάποιος θέλει νὰ βοηθήσει οἰκονομικὰ στὴν ἀνοικοδόμηση τοῦ Ἱεροῦ Ναοῦ τοῦ Ἁγίου Φιλουμένου, μπορεῖ νὰ τὸ κάνει εἴτε ἐπισκεπτόμενος τὴν Ἱερὰ Μονὴ εἴτε καταθέτοντας τὴν εἰσφορά του στὸν λογαριασμό:

From the first years of establishment, the Holy Monastery of St. Nicholas, we have received the special blessings of two Saints: Saint Nicholas the Hierarchies, Protector of the Holy Monastery, but also of the Hieromartyr Philoumenos of who was from the nearby village of Orounta .
As time passed, more and more people came to know who Saint Philoumenos was and is, through his miraculous interventions he revealed himself to the faithful and became known to them as a friend. This ever-increasing honour to the New Hieromartyr was the trigger to begin the construction in May 2019 of the Holy Church in his honour, so that the faithful will be filled with his grace, as well to find a place for spiritual strengthening and history. The foundation of the Holy Church, which will be cross-shaped with a dome, was laid on June, 17th of the same year with the grace of the Holy Spirit, by His Eminence Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou.
The church will be built with stone and will be erected southwest of the old buildings of the current existing monastery of St. Nicholas. On the north side of the property, there is a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary the Iamatiki, whose old miraculous icon is kept in the monastery.
